Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

NoBuyJury is a just-for-fun community where people ask strangers whether they should buy something. We collect as little as we can.

What we store

• Anonymous device ID: a random ID kept in your browser's local storage. We use it to allow one vote per device, show "your" requests, and total your savings. It is not linked to your name or email.
• Content you post: requests (item, price, reason, alternatives, optional link/photo URL), the handle you choose, votes, comments and reports. Requests and comments are public, so don't post personal information.
• Abuse prevention: a one-way hash of your IP address is kept for at most an hour for rate limiting. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. Turnstile is subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you across sites.

What we don't do

No accounts, no advertising cookies, no selling or sharing of data. We have no payment data because nothing is for sale yet.

Third parties

We're hosted on Cloudflare (Workers, D1). Photo URLs you post are loaded from the site you linked.

Your choices

To delete your content, use the contact form (coming soon) and include the request link(s). You can also report your own request to flag it for removal. Clearing your browser storage removes your device ID. That also means you lose access to your savings total.

Age

This service is meant for people aged 13+ (16+ in the EEA/UK).
